Serving those who are unable to visit a library or do not have a library to visit.
Bookmobiles bring materials for children, teens, and adults and provide library services including reserves, library cards, and limited reference. SFPL’s bookmobile programs serve distinct populations and all deliver quality library services.
- Green Bookmobile is an environmentally friendly bookmobile bringing the library to green-themed locations.
- Early Literacy Mobile serves children 0-5 years and their caregivers.
- Library On Wheels (Senior) is a wheelchair-accessible bookmobile providing services for seniors at over 40 places where they live and meet.
- Treasure Island Bookmobile brings a library to the Treasure Island community.
- Youth Mobile Pilot service to elementary students, tweens, and teens.
