Anza Branch Library – San Francisco Bureau of Architecture
In November 2000, the voters passed a bond measure for $106 million to upgrade San Francisco’s branch library system and in November 2007, the voters overwhelmingly passed Proposition D authorizing additional funding to improve the branches.
Renovation highlights include a small addition, new accessible restrooms, improved public and staff spaces, new elevator, a designated Teen Area, revamped program room downstairs, more computers, better lighting, and new & refinished furniture, shelving, and materials displays.
The Friends of the San Francisco Public Library are raising funds from private donations to pay for new furniture, fixtures, and equipment for the branch libraries. For more information on the Neighborhood Library Campaign, please contact TScheulov@friendssfpl.org.
