Temporary Closure

The North Beach Library at 2000 Mason St. has closed to prepare for the move to the new North Beach Branch Library at 850 Columbus Ave., opening May 10. Visit the Bookmobile during the construction, Mondays from 2:30pm to 5pm at Lombard Street and Columbus near Mason adjacent to the new building. Nearby libraries are Chinatown, Golden Gate Valley, and Marina.

New North Beach Branch - Grand Opening May 10, 2014

As Part of the Branch Library Improvement Program, the North Beach Branch will be getting a brand new building designed by the San Francisco architectural firm of Leddy Maytum Stacy. The new branch will be 8,500 square feet, 60% larger than the current branch. For more information about the project please see the Library’s website at sfpl.org/blip
