In his new book, 1963: The Year of Hope and Hostility, theologian and author Byron Williams presents 1963 as one of the most compelling years in the history of our nation. It was the year that cemented our current Cuban policy and shaped events in Vietnam. It was also the year that President Kennedy was assassinated and Martin Luther King was named Time Magazine's Man of the Year.
