NOTICE OF MEETING

 

NOTE ALTERNATIVE MEETING TIME AND LOCATION   

 

A regular meeting of the San Francisco Public Library Commission will be held as follows:

TIME:               4:00 PM

PLACE:            MISSION BAY BRANCH LIBRARY, 960 4th Street (at Berry)

 

The meeting will be called to order.

 

1.       PUBLIC COMMENT

(This item is to allow members of the public to comment generally on matters within the

Commission’s purview as well as to suggest new agenda items for the Library Commission’s consideration.)

 

2.  APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES                                                         ACTION

Presentation, discussion and possible action to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of May 3, 2007.

4. CITY LIBRARIAN’S REPORT by Luis Herrera                                      DISCUSSION

(This item is to allow the City Librarian to report on recent Library activities and make announcements).  The City Librarian will give updates on the following topics: Implementation of expanded hours; City Survey; FY 2007-2008 budget; Urban Library Council (ULC) Conference; One City One Book Selection; Summer Reading Program and highlights on exhibitions and programs.

 

5. FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY REPORT                                                DISCUSSION

(This item is to allow the Friends of the San Francisco Public Library to inform the

Commission of their current and proposed activities.)

 

6. LIBRARY DATA PRIVACY AUDIT REPORT                                        DISCUSSION

(Presentation and discussion of privacy audit conducted during February and March 2007)

7. FOCUS ON:  MISSION BAY BRANCH LIBRARY                                 DISCUSSION        

(Presentation and discussion of the programs, services and community outreach for the Mission Bay Branch Library)

 

8.  LABOR UNION REPORT                                                                   DISCUSSION

(This item is to allow representatives of library labor organizations to report on employee matters within the Commission’s purview as well as to suggest new agenda items for the Library Commission’s consideration.)

 

9.  NEW BUSINESS                                                                              DISCUSSION

(This item is to allow Commissioners to introduce new agenda items for consideration.)
