NOTICE OF MEETING

 

NOTE ALTERNATIVE MEETING LOCATION   

 

A regular meeting of the San Francisco Public Library Commission will be held as follows:

PLACE:           BAYVIEW/ANNA E. WADEN BRANCH LIBRARY

                        5075 Third Street (at Revere)

 

The meeting will be called to order.

 

1.      PUBLIC COMMENT

(This item is to allow members of the public to comment generally on matters within the Commission’s purview as well as to suggest new agenda items for the Library Commission’s consideration.)

 

2.  APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES                                                  ACTION

Presentation, discussion and possible action to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of August 16, 2007.

3. CITY LIBRARIAN’S REPORT by Luis Herrera                                        DISCUSSION

(This item is to allow the City Librarian to report on recent Library activities and make announcements).  The City Librarian will give updates on the following topics: expanded library hours starting dates; One City One Book; Every Child Ready to Read; State Public Library Fund; and highlights on exhibitions and programs.

4. FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY REPORT                                      DISCUSSION

(This item is to allow the Friends of the San Francisco Public Library to inform the

Commission of their current and proposed activities.)

 

5. FOCUS ON:  BAYVIEW BRANCH LIBRARY                              DISCUSSION

(Presentation and discussion of the programs, services and community outreach for the Bayview/Anna E. Waden Branch Library including update on the Bayview Branch renovation.)

 

 

6.  LABOR UNION REPORT                                                                        DISCUSSION

(This item is to allow representatives of library labor organizations to report on employee matters within the Commission’s purview as well as to suggest new agenda items for the Library Commission’s consideration.)

 

7.  NEW BUSINESS                                                                          DISCUSSION

(This item is to allow Commissioners to introduce new agenda items for consideration.)

 

8.  ADJOURNMENT (requires motion and public comment)           ACTION
