NOTICE OF MEETING

 

A regular meeting of the San Francisco Public Library Commission will be held as follows:

The meeting will be called to order.

 

1.      PUBLIC COMMENT

(This item is to allow members of the public to comment generally on matters within the Commission’s purview as well as to suggest new agenda items for the Library Commission’s consideration.)

 

2.  APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES                                                  ACTION

(Presentation, discussion and possible action to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of November 1, 2007.)

4.  CITY LIBRARIAN’S REPORT by Luis Herrera                                       DISCUSSION

(This item is to allow the City Librarian to report on recent Library activities and make announcements.)  The City Librarian will give updates on the following topics: Recognition of 2007 library retirees; Main Library first floor remodel; Implementation of recommendations in Controller’s Branch Library Improvement Program (BLIP) Report; Bernal Heights and Potrero branch BLIP projects; and highlights on exhibitions and programs.

 

5.  FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY REPORT                                                 DISCUSSION

(This item is to allow the Friends of the San Francisco Public Library to inform the Commission of their current and proposed activities)

 

6.  LIBRARY FINES AND FEES RESOLUTION                             ACTION

(Presentation, discussion and possible action to adopt resolution urging the Board of Supervisors to approve an ordinance amending the Library Fines and Fees Schedule.)

(This item is to allow representatives of labor organizations to report on employee matters within the Commission’s purview as well as to suggest new agenda items for the Library Commission’s consideration.)

(This item is to allow Commissioners to introduce new agenda items for consideration.)
