Photographer Robert Dawson discusses his photographic survey of libraries in the exhibition entitled, "Public Libraries: An American Commons" on view in the Jewett Gallery at the Main Library.

From historic Carnegie design to contemporary architecture such as the Seattle Public Library designed by noted architect Rem Koolhaas, Dawson's photographs depict a diverse range of library architecture throughout the U.S.
