Join us for Latin Beats and Tiny Feet Come Together, an all-ages performance of Latin music!

La Familia Peña-Govea will kick-off the show from 1:00-1:45, followed by youth ensemble Futuro Picante from 2:00 - 3:00.

The four members of La Familia Peña-Govea have earned reputations as exciting performers of traditional Tex-Mex and Colombian music, garnering acclaim at festivals and events throughout Northern California.

“American Sabor” was created by Experience Music Project and organized for travel by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service. The exhibition, its national tour and related programs are made possible by Ford Motor Company Fund.

Futuro Picante is comprised of 12 young musicians who range in age from 13 to 20. The members of Futuro Picante love to play music and have grown together to form a strong musical family. They have been playing together since 2003.

Latin Beats and Tiny Feets Come Together is one of many programs supporting the American Sabor exhibit in the Skylight Gallery of the Main Library, and is a joint program of the Children's Center and International Center of the San Francisco Public Library.
