Claude Dieterich, a distinguished graphic designer, calligrapher and teacher, will present a retrospective slide show of his work. Originally from Avignon, Claude studied graphic design and fine art in France. After working in magazine design in Paris, he emigrated to Lima, Peru, where he had his own design studio for twenty-five years and was the director of the Graphic Design School at the Catholic University. Now residing in San Francisco, he teaches calligraphy at the Academy of Art University. His work may be found in the Harrison Collection of Calligraphy & Lettering, Book Arts & Special Collections Center, Sixth floor, Main Library.
