The Early Literacy Mobile is visiting the San Francisco Zoo the first FREE Wednesday in May, June, and September from 9:30-4:00pm. Come onboard to share a story with your little cub or borrow a book to share together at home.
The ELM is not just a library in a big truck with shelves and shelves of books for children under 5 years old. It’s also an early literacy experience. Draw your favorite zoo animal using sidewalk chalk, play onboard with letters and gears on the magnetic board, pretend you’re driving the bookmobile with the “Play to Learn” station, and speak to the children’s librarian about the fun and easy things you can do every day with your child to bring books alive.
So visit the San Francisco Zoo and the Early Literacy Mobile to discover a Little Gorilla, Curious George, or perhaps even a Big Smelly Bear.
See the Early Literacy Mobile on the playground at the Golden Gate Park Koret Children’s Quarter, Parque Niños Unidos, Helen Wills Playground, and the SF Zoo. More information about Swing Into Stories...
