Photography in Mexico: Art and Politics  focuses on photography from the post-Mexican Revolution to the present.  The talk highlights the rich and powerful photographic tradition in Mexico and features the mastery of a variety of styles.  The presentation explores the work of Mexican photographers as well as international photographers and looks at the range of approaches and concerns that photographers in Mexico have pursued over time.  A lecturer from the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art will give the talk.

This program is part of ¡VIVA!, the library’s celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month, which takes place every year from September – October.
