Photography in Mexico: Art and Politics  focuses on photography from the post-Mexican Revolution to the present.  The talk highlights the rich and powerful photographic tradition in Mexico and features the mastery of a variety of styles.  The presentation explores the work of Mexican photographers as well as international photographers and looks at the range of approaches and concerns that photographers in Mexico have pursued over time.  A lecturer from the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art will give the talk.

¡VIVA! is the library’s celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month, from September - October. See our ¡VIVA! Calendar (PDF) for a complete listing of events.
