AfroCuban themed artwork by Susan Matthews will be on display in the library including part of the Secrets Under the Skin exhibit.
Secrets Under the Skin is a collaborative, multi-disciplinary art installation created by seven artists that premiered December, 2010 in Havana, Cuba, and January, 2011 in Anchorage, Alaska. The installation, comprised of media, visual art, photographs and -- when possible -- live performance art and live performance, connects the Arará community in Perico, Cuba with a parallel religious community in Dzodze, Ghana and brings their similarities to light via art.
Este evento es parte de ¡Viva! una celebración del Mes de la Herencia Latino/Hispana de la Biblioteca Pública de San Francisco.
