Join San Francisco Poet Laureate Alejandro Murguía and Radio Bilingüe/KPOO FM Announcer Chelis Lopez, for a Día de los Muertos tribute to legendary Mexican novelist Carlos Fuentes.

The program will include insights, stories, and videos about the author's life and work. Special guests include University of San Francisco's Director of Latino/Chicano Studies Dr. Karina Hodoyan, San Francisco State University’s Spanish Professor Dr. Gustavo Calderon, and Yvette Fuentes, a close friend of the Fuentes family.

 A book sale hosted by Modern Times Bookstore will follow the event.

This program is part of ¡VIVA!, the library’s celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month, which takes place every year from September 15 – October 15.
