Deep Impact

1998, 123 minutes

Scientists discover that a comet is on a collision course with the Earth, a comet so massive that its impact with Earth will cause an extinction-level event, and end life as we know it. On hand to save the world are the U.S. President (Morgan Freeman), an aging astronaut (Robert Duvall), and a student (Elijah Wood) who captured the comet in pictures while on an astronomy class project.
