Local historian Jacqueline Proctor offers a view of San Francisco's development from its highest point. Home to some of San Francisco's most beautiful neighborhoods and influential citizens, this story of those who dared to dream is part of the tapestry that makes San Francisco the city it is today.
Jacquie Proctor is a longtime resident of Miraloma Park, a San Francisco City Guide, and cofounder of the Friends of Mt. Davidson Conservancy. Her work to preserve Mt. Davidson Park after the court decision concerning separation of church and state in 1997 sparked her interest in local history. She is the author of two books, including the Arcadia Press guide San Francisco's West of Twin Peaks.
