The Milagro Beanfield War  (1988, 118 minutes)

Based on John Nichols’ novel, a lone Chicano handyman illegally irrigates his parched beanfield using water that was earmarked for a major development. This tiny act snowballs, setting in motion a chain of events that have overwhelming consequences for the people of this small town.  Directed by Robert Redford.

This is a Films & Videos program from SFPL. From feature films to youth-made videos, we’ve got something great to watch.
