Dia de los Muertos Altar

Event detail

November 1st and 2nd is Día de los Muertos (or Day of the Dead), a Mexican holiday that is celebrated all over the world, especially where people from Mexico have settled. Special altars or ofrendas are created for Día de los Muertos. The ofrenda often has pictures, sugar skulls, paper flowers, marigolds, food, beverages and other mementos.   Please come and add a picture, note or small memento to our ofrenda at Bernal Branch.

Come to the library, check out the show, get a library card, and enjoy some books!

This program is part of ¡VIVA!, the library’s celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month, which takes place every year from September – October.
