Quilting and Community

Visitacion Valley Quilts, Building Community Block by Block
Event detail

Come meet the founder of Quiltworks, Linda Hannawalt. She will be presenting an interactive lecture on the history of quilting and will demonstrate how quilting can bring communities of people together. This is not a hands-on workshop.

Visitacion Valley Quilts is a six month long project to create a community quilt representative of this diverse San Francisco neighborhood. The program is a partnership between the San Francisco Public Library and Quiltworks, a local nonprofit quilting studio.
