San Francisco has been chosen as one of ten sites around the country for a pilot program connecting the StoryCorps project (see storycorps.org) to communities through their local libraries. Currently, we are recording stories around the themes of this year’s One City One Book, Cory Doctorow's Little Brother, which include high school experiences, your San Francisco neighborhood, your family, or your Bay Area social justice efforts.

Appointments last about an hour and fifteen minutes, including forty minutes of uninterrupted time for recording a meaningful conversation with a friend or loved one. (If you prefer, one of our volunteers can serve as your conversation partner.) To get more information, to book a recording session, or request a recording session at your branch in 2014, contact Fran at (415) 557-4277 or publicaffairs@sfpl.org.
