In honor of Black History Month and the beginning of Hollywood's Award season, Potrero Branch will be showing award-winning movies about  African Americans. 
This week:
GLORY starring Denzel Washington and Matthew Broderick. Robert Gould Shaw leads the US Civil War's first all-black volunteer company, fighting prejudices of both his own Union army and the Confederates. The movie was nominated for 5 Oscars, winning 3, and 5 Golden Globes, winning 1.
