Celebrate African-American History Month!
Watch the first Disney film to feature an African-American princess. All ages will love this award-winning musical, a hand-drawn animated rewrite of the Grimm Brothers' Frog Prince set in Jazz-Era New Orleans. What can the kiss of a frog do when voodoo is part of the mix?
African Americans helped revise the script and production to make it worthy of African-American history and ideals. Music by Randy Newman. 83% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. 2009; Rated G; 95 minutes.

This is a Films & Videos program from SFPL. From feature films to youth-made videos, we’ve got something great to watch.

These cultural events are free and open to the public. Check out all of our Black History Month programs and share your own thoughts on race at Race in the Public Eye.
