Hidden Garden Steps:

Creating Community, Art, and Gardens
Event detail

Please join us as Paul Signorelli and Licia Wells, two of the three Hidden Garden Steps organizing committee co-chairs, discuss and answer questions about how volunteer-driven, community-based projects are imagined, created, and sustained. An unplanned conversation at the Bernal Heights Branch Library in 2010 provided the initial connection that now has the support of more than 600 individual donors and a dedicated group of neighborhood volunteers who maintain a second set of ceramic-tiled steps and adjacent gardens in San Francisco's Inner Sunset District at 16th Avenue, between Kirkham and Lawton streets, that opened to the public this past December.
