*Make a Wish for Tanabata

Tanabata ("Evening of the Seventh") is a Japanese festival held annually on the 7th of July that celebrates the once-a-year meeting of two star-crossed lovers - Ox Herder and the Weaver Princess - who  are separated by the Milky Way during the other 364 days of the year.

People celebrate this special night by hanging colorful streamers called "kazari" along the streets, and also, writing down wishes on small strips of paper called "tanzaku" and hanging them from decorated bamboo branches.

Come by the branch to make your own beautiful Tanabata kazari and write down your wish on a tanzaku to hang from our Wish Tree!
