Papel Picado (“perforated paper") is the decorative paper craft of intricately cut, tissue paper panels. The panels are strung together and hung as colorful displays for celebrations and holidays.

Come join us and design papel picado for a celebration of your own choice.

Programs celebrating one of the many cultures that make up San Francisco, during their time of special recognition.

This program is part of ¡VIVA!, the library’s celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month, which takes place every year from September – October.
