Play and Grow:

Play and Grow: Toddler Fun with Reading, Rhyming and Recreation is an early literacy play group that promotes parents child interaction and kindergarten readiness. The group is intended for parents, grandparents, caregivers, and children birth-age five.

This program is a collaboration effort between Edgewood Center, Parent University, APA Family Support Services, and San Francisco Public Library.

* Clay Animation Workshop

Have you ever wondered how to make your own clay animation? Students will learn the basics of stop-motion animation in this project-based workshop with the Children's Creativity Museum. Youth will design their own clay characters and then produce a short animated film using multimedia tools. Participants will have their animations emailed to them at the end of the workshop! Now you can schedule a one-on-one appointment for 30 minutes with a Visitacion Valley Branch librarian to answer your questions. This special library service will be offered on the third Thursday of the month starting at 5:00 p.m.

Interested in learning about the ukulele? Be a part of Ukulele for tweens and jam at the library. No music knowledge or experience required, just an open mind and willingness to learn.

Capoeira with Tammy!
Capoeira Angola can be described as a cultural weapon, a martial art, a dance, a spiritual tradition, a philosophy, and a game played to the rhythm of percussion instruments and call response songs.
