Assistive Technology is a device or a computer-based accommodation that provides equitable access to programs and print or online resources for persons with disabilities. Most of the Library's assistive technology is available for use at the Main Library.

- Free mail service of special playback equipment, books and periodicals on tape and digital cartridge
- Large print newspapers (Magazines and Newspapers Center); large print books are available on the 1st Floor, Children’s Center (2nd Floor), Teen Center (3rd Floor) and branch libraries
- Magnifiers, hand-held
- NFB-NEWSLINE for local and national newspapers read over the telephone
- Personal computers with screen magnification and voice output/screen readers, scanners with OCR, and printers
- Reading machines that scan printed materials and read them aloud
