Don't have an email address? Don't want to wait for the postal service to deliver your hold pickup notice?
The Library offers an automated Telephone Notification Service (TNS) alerting patrons of hold pickups and overdue materials. Library users may sign up for this free service at the Main Library, or at any branch. Library users with Internet access can change their notice preference by logging into their Library account, choosing Modify Personal Information, and then selecting the Telephone option. However, Library users wishing to use the telephone service must remove their email address from their record to avoid email notification.
The TNS is a sophisticated system that can discern between a live human voice and an answering machine recording, and knows when to appropriately leave its notification.
