Classes for Learners

Introduction to computers

All Project Read learners and their tutors can come to the Computer Learning Lab during the following hours to meet with Brian or Leon to learn how to use the computers.

After about 3 visits, learners will receive a computer license and can use the Lab any time it is open.

The Computer Learning Lab is for Project Read learners only. Tutors working at agencies should call for computer referrals.

We will discuss The Perfect Storm: A True Story of Men Against the Sea by Sebastian Junger.


To prepare for the group discussion:

  • Each learner will receive a copy of the book and a copy of the book on tape.

  • Each tutor will receive a copy of the book.

Limited to 10 learners, so call 557-4388 to reserve your place.

Tutors: You are invited to assist. Please tell your learner about the book discussion club.
