ANSI (American National Standards Institute)

The Business & Technology Center owns a set of selected ANSI Standards in paper format. We do not keep a back file of historical standards. The ANSI standards are not available for loan, but photocopiers are available. The ANSI Web site includes an electronic catalog of their standards, at the ANSI Electronic Standards Store.

ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials)

The Library has a 1999 collection of ASTM standards on microfiche. Consult the reference desk for availability. The ASTM Web site includes an search page for their standards.

ISO (International Standards Organization)

The only ISO standards kept by San Francisco Public Library are those that have been adopted by ANSI. To find ISO standards, you can search the following Web sites:
