The Volunteer Services Department is responsible for recruiting, training and placing volunteers at the Main Library and in the branches of the San Francisco Public Library.
The Public Affairs office on the 6th Floor of the Main Library will accept volunteer applications, however, the Volunteer Services program is currently under review and is not actively training or placing volunteers into assignments. While the Library does not have an active Volunteer Services program at this time, interested persons may apply to be a volunteer with Friends of the Library. The Friends can be reached at 415-626-7500 or via their web site www.friendssfpl.org.
