Cadillac Desert chronicles the growth of a thriving civilization in the great American desert. Screening will include Program One of the four-part documentary which is called Mulholland’s Dream (85 min.) and describes how William Mulholland “delivered” a river to Los Angeles in 1913. Muholland rose from ditchdigger to superintendant of the L.A. water system, and found a solution to escalating water problems in a remote valley 250 miles to the north. This is a Green Stacks program.
