The 15th annual Effie Lee Morris Lecture features Gerald McDermott, author of the Trickster Tales! series of beloved folktales. McDermott received the 1972 Caldecott Honor for his book, Anansi the Spider, the 1974 Caldecott Medal for Arrow to the Sun, and the 1993 Caldecott Honor and Boston Globe – Horn Book Honor Award for Raven: A Trickster Tale from the Pacific Northwest.
