9/18/10 - 1/02/2011
James C. Hormel LGBTQIA Center - 3rd Floor
100 Larkin St.
Exhibition extended in the Hormel Center.
For the past 40 years, San Francisco Bay Area lesbians with disabilities have been at the forefront of political, artistic and cultural change. Despite these significant accomplishments, most of this history has not been documented in any archive and is in danger of being lost. This exhibition will feature photographs, a memorial quilt, archival materials and more that demonstrate the innovative contributions by disabled lesbians in the areas of art, dance, politics, civil rights and access.
