Main Library

Chinese Center Exhibit Space - 3rd Floor

100 Larkin St.

In honor of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, San Francisco Public Main Library will host a book and art exhibit featuring works by local Chinese American authors and artists. Most of the authors and artists are members of the Chinese Literature and Art Association in America (CLAA), a San Francisco based organization that has been active in bridging the Chinese and American cultures and traditions.

Books on exhibit will include novels, collections of short stories, poems and essays, all published in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and the United States. Along with books published in Chinese, there will be photographs, Chinese brush paintings and archived photographs documenting a 17-year history of the Literati, the only Chinese literary magazine published in North America.
