Wherever There's a Fight - Exposición

2/09/13 - 4/07/2013

Biblioteca Central

Galería Skylight: Exposición - 6ª Planta

100 Larkin St.

Civil liberties, our right to equality under the law and our right to freedom from government intrusion, are essential to democracy.  This exhibit tells the stories of people throughout California history who fought violations of their civil liberties and confronted the prejudices and political winds of the times.  Their stories remind us that each generation has its own fights to keep our rights meaningful.

Related event: authors and curators Elaine Elinson and Stan Yogi discuss the history of Civil Liberties in San Francisco. Wednesday, February 13, 6:30 Main Library, Latino Hispanic Community Room.
