For Parents Raising a Reader

Come by any Sunday between 2:00 and 4:00 for fun and games to help beginning readers love to read.  Lucille Cuttler, Educational Specialist, will introduce adults to the magic of games that hone literacy skills.  Parents and caregivers will learn how a lively game of Concentration or Go Fish works better than repetitive flash card drills.  Make a board game that will teach why we spell smile with an 'e' at the end!  Appropriate for adults helping any age person begin to read, even other adults.

If possible, bring samples of your beginning reader's work or books.

Well-behaved children are also welcome.
