1:00 - 1:45

Marina Children's Area

1890 Chestnut Street

Nautical life is revealed in more than 80 remarkable paintings and works on paper by artists such as Claude Monet, Gustave Caillebotte, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Camille Pissarro, Maurice Denis, and Paul Signac—Impressionists and Post-Impressionists whose breathtaking artistry reflected a deep understanding of pleasure boating and competition. Their brushwork suggests the atmospheric effects and sensations of movement that contribute to the invigorating experience of sailing.

Clara Morrissey from Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco will give a presentation on Impressionists of the Water.
