November 9, 2013 marks 75 years since Kristallnacht, the night when Jews throughout Nazi Germany experienced a series of coordinated attacks. Holocaust survivor, AnneMarie, was born in Chemnitz, Germany where she and her family lived a very peaceful life until November 9, 1938. On that night, AnneMarie’s father was taken to Buchenwald, and AnneMarie’s life changed completely. AnneMarie will recount her memories of Kristallnacht, and her life in hiding during the Holocaust. AnneMarie is a member of the William J. Lowenberg Holocaust Survivors Speakers Bureau, a part of the Jewish Family and Children’s Services Holocaust Center.
