Reciclar Material Textil

Library Receipt Paper

Because we care about your health, the library switched to BPA free receipts.

We recently learned that our BPA free paper producer has replaced the BPA with BPS which may be just as toxic.  Unfortunately, we’ve learned that this is a common practice.

We are searching for a receipt paper that is toxic free.  As soon as we find it, we will make it available to our users.

An option for library users is to forgo receipts.  When you check out library materials, you do not need to print a receipt.  You can always check your library record online to learn when your items are due.  You can also ask any library worker to help you look this up.

Climate Change in the U.S.

In May 2014, the U.S. Global Change Research Program released the Third National Climate Assessment, the authoritative and comprehensive report on climate change and its impacts in the United States.

A team of more than 300 experts guided by a 60-member Federal Advisory Committee produced the report, which was extensively reviewed by the public and experts, including federal agencies and a panel of the National Academy of Sciences.

The full report of the National Climate Assessment provides an in-depth look at climate change impacts on the U.S. It details the multitude of ways climate change is already affecting and will increasingly affect the lives of Americans.
