Notice of Meeting - June 05, 2001
A regular meeting of the San Francisco Public Library Commission will be held as follows:

Place: Koret Auditorium, Main Library, lower level
The meeting will be called to order.
1. APPROVAL OF THE MAY 1, 2001 MINUTES - ACTION
Presentation of, discussion of, and possible action to approve the Minutes of the regular Commission meeting of May 1, 2001.

2. CITY LIBRARIAN’S REPORT - DISCUSSION
by City Librarian Susan Hildreth
(This a discussion item is to allow the City Librarian to report on recent Library activities and make announcements)
This report will consist of a report on the Ingleside Branch opening, a report on branch closures, a Library Budget update, a report on the neighborhood budget hearings, a report on the branch survey and community meetings, a fine amnesty report, a Prop. 14 update, a report on the #19 Polk Muni stop, and information on the ALA Annual Meeting.
3. BRANCH LIBRARY BOND PROGRAM UPDATE - DISCUSSION
Presentation of, and discussion of an update on Prop. A (2000) Branch Library Construction and Improvements Bond related activities.
4. SUMMER READING PROGRAM - DISCUSSION
Presentation of, and discussion of, the Summer Reading Program.
5. EBOOK UPDATE REPORT - DISCUSSION
Presentation of, and discussion of, an update report on recent developments regarding ebooks.
6. EXHIBITS AND PROGRAMS REPORT - DISCUSSION
Presentation of, and discussion of, recent and upcoming exhibits and programs.
7. FRIENDS AND FOUNDATION REPORT - DISCUSSION
(This item is to allow the Friends and Foundation of the San Francisco Public Library to inform the Commission of their current and proposed activities.)
8. UNION REPORT - DISCUSSION
(This item is to allow members of library labor organizations to report on employee matters within the Commission’s purview as well as to suggest new agenda items for the Library Commission’s future consideration.)
9. NEW BUSINESS - DISCUSSION
(This item is to allow Commissioners to introduce new agenda items for future consideration.)
10. PUBLIC COMMENT - DISCUSSION
(This item is to allow members of the public to comment generally on matters within the Commission’s purview as well as to suggest new agenda items for the Library Commission’s future consideration.)
11. ADJOURNMENT - ACTION
(requires motion and public comment)
