Login Bookmarklet

Fill in your Card Number and PIN and press the "Create my SFPL Login Bookmarklet" button.  A new orange bookmarklet will be created below the button- drag that orange bookmarklet into your bookmarks toolbar.  For browser specific instructions, see the right hand column of this page.

Privacy: The Login Bookmarklet allows anyone using the computer to login to this library record. Please only add the bookmarklet to your own personal computer. Do not add the bookmarklet to a shared or public computer.

To use your SFPL Login bookmarklet

1. Set up your SFPL Login bookmarklet (see instructions at right)
2. Go to the Log In To Your Record page
3. Click on your SFPL Login bookmarklet in your bookmarks. You will automatically be logged in to your Library Record.

What is a bookmarklet?

Bookmarklets are links you can add to your Internet browser’s bookmarks to act as simple one-click tools for quick access. This one provides an easy way to log in to your Library Record. Once you’ve done the initial set-up, you can click on your SFPL Login bookmarklet and it will automatically fill in your Library card number and password and log you in to your Library Record. Your SFPL Login bookmarklet can also help you log in to use Articles and Databases online resources, and OverDrive for downloading eBooks.

SFPL bookmarklet instructions for different browsers*

Internet Explorer

1. Enter your Library Card number and PIN.
2. Click on Create My SFPL Login Bookmarklet. A My SFPL Login button will appear.
3. Right click on the button and select Add to Favorites

Firefox

1. Make sure the Bookmarks Toolbar is visible. If it is not, go to View, Toolbars; click on Bookmarks Toolbar
2. Enter your Library Card number and PIN.
3. Click on Create My SFPL Login Bookmarklet. A My SFPL Login button will appear.
4. Drag the button to your Bookmarks Toolbar

Safari

1. Make sure the Bookmarks toolbar is visible. If it is not, go to View, and click on Show Bookmarks Bar
2. Enter your Library Card number and PIN.
3. Click on Create My SFPL Login Bookmarklet. A My SFPL Login button will appear.
4. Drag the button to your Bookmarks bar.

Google Chrome

1. Enter your Library Card number and PIN.
2. Click on Create My SFPL Login Bookmarklet. A My SFPL Login button will appear.
3. Click the three horizontal lines at the right of the browser toolbar.
4. Select Bookmarks.
5. Select Show bookmarks bar.
6. Drag the button to your Bookmarks bar.
