“I admire Susie Sexpert's enthusiasm and sense of humor. However, her sexpert advice manual was difficult to read for me. I have a hard time hearing about other people's sex life.
This manual was like taking medicine for me. In my artwork, I am interested in medicine, particularly Chinese medicine. I remember the medicine I took as a child. I was fascinated by the “handmade” quality of the pills.
As a printmaker, I explore a print as being a sensory experience like memory and as a historic indicator. As a book artist and printmaker, I am interested in the book living on as memory, with the print rolled into the paper pills.”
