If I imagined myself in the San Francisco Public Library this book would probably not be
the first book I would choose to check out and read, so I found it a challenge to alter it.
The subject matter is about connections between same sex partners but the author goes
about dissecting and analyzing relationships and their implications in modern society.
I felt the book needed a transformation, that it needed to have a more personal look into
a relationship. Adding the fold out page it is my intent to create a more sculptural form as
each page adds to and extends out similar to that of a relationship. The personal text is
transparent yet passionate in context and color.
