Join the 2008 Summer Reading Club
Sat., June 14 – Sat., August 9, 2008

For all children through age 13.

SIGN UP beginning June 14 at any neighborhood San Francisco Public Library, including the children’s bookmobile and the branch bookmobile. You may sign up at only one location, so choose the one where it is easiest for you to return throughout the summer.

VISIT THE LIBRARY anytime it is open to check out books or to attend some of the many special events that will be going on at each library this summer. Look at the monthly calendar of children's events on our web site or read about them in the publication At the Public Library which can be found in any branch or online.

READ! Small incentive prizes will be awarded to enrolled children who have read for two, four and six hours during the eight weeks of Summer Reading. One grand prize will be awarded to each child who reads for eight or more hours and visits the library at least two times.
Children may read books in any language they choose.

Preschool children can participate by having someone read to them. There will be special incentive prizes for this age group, a fun handout with suggestions for activities (available in English, Spanish and Chinese), and a raffle for a prize for the adult who reads to 8 hours or more with their baby or toddler.
