Born Confused is about a girl named Dimple Lala. She is an aspiring photographer and "Is not quite Indian and not quite American." Her story begins when she turns seventeen. It is often hilarious, but there is also self-discovery as well. Things get complicated during the summer with her friend Gwyn and her feelings for Karsh. The plot is told with beautiful writing. I .love the imagery in this story and it made me really see in my imagination what was going on in the story.
