Vampire Writing Contest for Teens
Are you the next Stephenie Meyer?

Are you a teen writer inspired by the Twilight Saga, Vampire Academy or Vampire Diaries? To celebrate the opening of the film “Eclipse” this June, SFPL will be holding a vampire themed creative writing contest for teens. Whether you write fan-fiction, short stories, poetry or stories in verse, submit your vampire-inspired work and you could win the ultimate Vampire Gift Basket! Winners will also be invited to read their work at a celebration at the Main Library.
Contest Guidelines:
1. All entries must be original and unpublished works.
2. Must be between the ages of 12 and 19.
3. No more than 3 submissions per a person.
4. Limit of 2,000 words or less.
5. By entering the contest, participants give permission to SFPL to publish winning entries. They may also be posted on the SFPL Teen Blog.
6. Winners are responsible for traveling to the Main Library to accept their prize.
Submission Guidelines:
- Entries will be accepted from May 15, 2010 through July 1st, 2010. All entries are due by 6 pm on July 1st, 2010. Winners will be notified by July 20th.
- Electronic entries must be in Microsoft Word or a Microsoft Word compatible format.
- Include your name, age, school and contact information in your entry.
