The Interlibrary Loan program is used by San Francisco Public Library cardholders
seeking books, periodicals, and microfilm/microfiche not owned by the Library. Please check the SFPL catalog to be sure an item is not owned by our Library system before placing an Interlibrary Loan request. Items may be obtained from institutions throughout North America free of charge (except on rare occasions) by using the online form. Renewals may be granted in person at the Main Library or by telephone.
