Her favorite roles include Dorothy in&nbsp;<i>The Wiz</i>, Sara in&nbsp;<i>Ragtime&nbsp;</i>and Marie in&nbsp;<i>Vodu</i>. She loves a good Joni Mitchell or Nina Simone cover and has an 8-year-old son.&nbsp;</p>
