DESCRIPTION:<p>This session will provide an overview of the&nbsp;<strong>Community Health Worker Program</strong>&nbsp;who&nbsp;are connected with&nbsp;the&nbsp;<strong>Homeless Prenatal Program</strong>&nbsp;and the&nbsp;<strong>San Francisco Early Childhood Education&nbsp;Apprenticeship Program</strong>&nbsp;with&nbsp;<strong>IRISE Early Education Pathways</strong>. During this presentation, attendees will learn about the structure and goals of the apprenticeship, the application timeline, and what participants can expect throughout the program.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>The&nbsp;<strong>Community Health Worker Program</strong>’s recruitment for their apprenticeship begins in October and November, with the program cohort launching in January.&nbsp;They will briefly discuss opportunities for individuals to enroll in courses at City College while they wait for acceptance into the apprenticeship. This federally recognized Registered Apprenticeship program supports aspiring and current early childhood educators as they advance their education and careers. Through college coursework, individualized coaching, mentorship, and paid work-based learning experiences, participants gain the knowledge, skills, and credentials needed to thrive in the early childhood education workforce and support the next generation of learners. We are currently recruiting applicants who want to complete their 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units and work part-time at a childcare center in San Francisco.&nbsp;</p>
